McManaway went five innings allowing two hits, two walks while keeping ALAH off balance with 10 strikeouts.
Meanwhile, the Indians offense was on target with 14 hits in the contest. Kienon Eirhart and Mason Robinson had a single, double and two RBI each while Hayden Siebert and Nathan Stuemke had two singles and two RBI each. Dillan Elam had two singles and an RBI and Kaidyn Miller had a double.
The two teams went 0-0 through the first couple innings before Altamont scored 10 runs in the third and finished out with two in the fifth.

Neoga claimed its first victory this season by beating Pana, 4-2 Thursday.
Will O'Dell picked up the win on the mound.
Kaden Young led in hitting with three hits and an RBI. O'Dell had a hit and an RBI.
Neoga improved to 1-2 while Pana dropped to 0-1.
Neoga is back in action at Central A&M Saturday at 10 a.m.

Effingham HIgh School traveled to the Edwardsville-SIUE Showcase at Roy E. Lee Field Thursday and fell to Normal West, 5-1.
The Hearts outhit Normal West by a six to four count. Quest Hull had a single and double while John Harper had two singles and an RBI. Camden Raddatz added a double.
Normal West tallied three runs in the third. EHS came back with a run in the fifth but Normal West added on two more runs in the seventh.

At GCS Stadium
Teutopolis traveled to the Columbia-Metro East Classic at GCS Stadum and fell to Columbia, 10-8.
The two teams were knotted at 1-1 after two innings. Columbia then broke loose with a six-run third. T-town came back with two in the top of the fourth but Columbia tallied three more in the bottom of the frame.
The Shoes then pulled within 10-4 in the fifth and 10-8 in the sixth only to fall short.
T-town had six hits led by Cade Buehnerkemper with a single, double and an RBI. Brayden Gaddis added a single and drove in two runs.
The Wooden Shoes dropped to 1-1 while it was the season-opener for Columbia. Teutopolis is back in action Saturday at SIUE Roy Lee Field vs Pleasant Plains at 4:30. Columbia plays LaSalle Peru.

Shelbyville played host to Brownstown/St. Elmo and ended the game in the sixth via the 10-run rule, 15-5 Thursday.
Shelbyville held a 5-2 lead in the top of the third but had a five-run bottom of the frame. The Rams banged out 10 hits in the game.
BSE had six hits led by Adam Atwood with a double and an RBI and Kevin Hall with two singles.
The game was the season-opener for BSE who returns to action Saturday against Hillsboro.
