Effingham St. Anthony stepped out to a 3-1 opening inning lead on Sullivan and went on for an 11-1 victory in five innings of junior high baseball Wednesday.

The Bullpups had eight hits led by D. Brown with three singles and two RBI, M. Clark with two singles and two RBI and A. Lauritzen with a double.

K. Griffith went all five innings on the mound, allowing one run on two hits, four walks and four strikeouts.

Teutopolis' Gavin Addis threw a one-hitter as the Wooden Shoes blanked Effingham, 12-0 in six innings Wednesday. He finished with 10 strikeouts.

Isaac McWhorter hit a two-run homer for the Shoes.

The lone hit for the Mustangs was a single by Carter Braddy.

Neoga took the early lead and never looked back in a 15-5 win over Brownstown/St. Elmo in five innings Wednesday.

Neoga held an 8-2 lead after two innings, 11-4 after three and finished out with four in the fourth.

Hakman led the way with two singles and an RBI while Bryant had two singles. K. White had a single and two RBI.

BSE was led by H. Poe with a single, two home runs and three RBI while K. Speagle had two singles and two RBI and R. Powell two singles.
