KINMUNDY -- South Central's Trevan Sidwell threw a shutout as the Falcons downed Effingham Sacred Heart, 10-0 in junior high baseball action Wednesday.
Sidwell went all five innings, striking out eight while giving up four hits.
Meanwhile, the Falcons took a 2-0 first inning lead as Garrett Shumate singled home a run.
South Central opened up the contest with an eight-run fifth. The Falcons finished with 10 hits in the contest led by Sidwell with three doubles and two RBI and G. Shumate with two singles and an RBI. Colt Cartright had a single and drove in two runs while Hudson Moore and Kaiden Harrell had a single and an RBI each.
The Shamrocks were led by Jude Traub with two singles, Austin Borries with a single and Jacob Warner with a single.
