Effingham St. Anthony ended its high school baseball game against Neoga in the sixth inning via the 10-run rule Tuesday, 11-1.

The Bulldogs offense was on with 16 hits. Angelo Mendella had a single, two doubles and drove in two runs. Beau Adams had two singles, a double and three RBI while Brody Niebrugge added three singles. Brady Hatton aded a triple and an RBI and Will Hoene two singles.

Eli Levitt threw a three-hitter allowing one run, two walks and striking out 10.

Neoga was led by T. Sheehan with a double and an RBI.

At Beecher City

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and held on for a 7-5 win over Dieterich Tuesday.

The Bobcats had 10 hits. Quaid Schlanser and J. Robertson led the way with two singles and a triple each. Schlanser had three RBI. Carson Evans had two singles and drove in three runs.

Diteerich was led by Noah Dill with a triple and an RBI, Braden Shadle with a double and Garrett Niebrugge, Jaxon Funneman and Lucas Westendorf with two singles each. Niebrugge added an RBI.

Schlanser was the winning pitcher going 6.2 innings allowing five runs on eight hits, two walks and eight strikeouts.

At Beecher City

At Louisville

North Clay's Carson Burkett threw a one-hitter as the Cardinals handed Brownstown/St. Elmo a 12-0 loss in five innings Tuesday.

The teams went scoreless through the first two innings before North Clay tallied six in the third and six in the fourth.

Burkett went four innings allowing one hit, no walks and striking out three.

Donnie Zimmerman led North Clay in hitting with two doubles. Collyn Ballard and Weidner led North Clay with a triple each.

Dalton Myers had the lone hit for BSE with a single.

BSE dropped to 1-2 in the National Trail Conference, 4-2 overall. North Clay improved to 2-0 in the conference, 6-0 overall.

At Strasburg

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's Gavin Wernsing had a stellar game on the mound Tuesday as the Hatchets beat South Central, 3-1.

Wernsing threw a two-hitter and finished with 13 strikeouts. He allowed only two walks in seven innings.

Meanwhile, WSS took a 2-0 lead in the second. South Central scored in the fourth before the Hatchets tacked on a single run in the fifth.

The Hatchets had five hits, four that were for extra bases. Tyler Wetherell hit a two-run homer while Austin Wittenberg, Jordan Wittenberg and Graham Kasey had a double each. Wernsing knocked in the other RBI.

Dodson had both hits for the Cougars with two singles.
