TAYLORVILLE -- Effingham Junior High School tallied a 14-3 baseball victory over Taylorville Monday.

The Mustangs held a 3-2 opening inning lead then broke the game open with a seven-run second. They added on one in the third and three in the fifth to end the contest.

Brayden Tucker had a single, double and four RBI for the winners. Wade Bushur hit a single and double while Brock Meltabarger two singles and two RBI and Max Flack and Nolan Fearday two singles and an RBI and Brody Boehm two singles.
