TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis played host to Effingham St. Anthony and picked up a 6-4 victory Tuesday in junior high baseball.

Both teams had six hits but St. Anthony committed three errors.

St. Anthony held a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth but the Wooden Shoes tallied three in the bottom of the frame and two more in the fifth.

Ross Bloemer and Jason Kreke had a single and a double each. Landyn Buening had three RBi while Landyn Thoele had a single and two RBI. 

St. Anthony was led by A. Lauritzen with two doubles, H. Brent with a double and an RBI and D. Brown with a single and three RBI.

At Flora

Effingham ran into a buzzsaw Tuesday at Flora.

Floyd Henson tallied a 14-3 win over the Mustangs in six innings. Flora's Walden had a grand slam in a four-run second inning for a 7-3 lead then tacked on three in the fourth and four in the sixth.

Max Flack had two doubles and an RBI for Effingham while Brayden Tucker had a single and two RBI and Wade Bushur a single and an RBI.

At Beecher City

North Clay (Louisville) trailed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 4-3 after three innings then broke the game open with a 10-run fourth and went on for a 14-8 win Tuesday.

North Clay had nine hits and was aided by six CHBC errors. Trenton Ingram had a single, double and an RBI for the winners while Spencer Clark had a double and two RBI and Cody Zimdars two singles and an RBI. North Clay is now 2-4 on the season.

CHBC was led by Carter Dilley with a single, double and two RBI, Clive Schlanser with a double and three RBI and Isaac Miller with two singles and two RBI,

Ryker Dodson and Colt Cartright combined to throw a no-hitter as South Central blanked Patoka/Odin, 12-0 in four innings Tuesday.

Dodson went 3.1 innings allowing one walk and striking out two for the win. Cartright finished out the game with two strikeouts.

South Central had three hits led by Trayton Sidwell with a double and an RBI and Kaiden Harrell with a single and two RBI. Luke Shumate had a single and an RBI and Chase Guerrettaz and Cartright with a RBI each.
