WSS Hands T-town Loss, BSE Wins In Baseball Action

The Hatchets tallied all the runs they would need in the fourth inning. Sam Vonderheide hit a solo home run in the frame and also picked up the pitching victory.
Vonderheide came on in the fourth inning after the two teams went 0-0. Teutopolis pulled within a run in the fifth Sam Bushur had a triple while Mitch Althoff had a double. Kayden Althoff singled home the two runs.
But Vonderheide toughened up and went the rest of the game, allowing one walk and striking out four.
The Wooden Shoes had two errors in the contest. T-town will be back in action Wednesday hosting Effingham St. Anthony in a 7 p.m. contest that will be heard on KJ Country 102.3.
Windsor/Stew-Stras will play host to North Clay (Louisville) today.

At Wayne City
Brownstown/St. Elmo took a 2-1 first inning lead and went on to beat Wayne City/Webber Township (Bluford), 12-2 in five innings with the 10-run rule going into effect Monday.
Jarrett Pasley went four innings for the win, allowing three hits, four walks and striking out four.
Brady Maxey was the hitting leader with a single, home run and three RBI. Adam Atwood went three for three with all singles and an RBI, Wyatt Stine had two singles and an RBI, Dalton Myers a double and two RBI and Lukas Miller, also a double and two RBI.
BSE is now a perfect 3-0 on the season and will be back in action today against Dieterich.
