Angels' Rendon Needs Surgery, Cubs Win, Cardinals Lose

Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon needs to have surgery on his right hip and is done for the year, the team announced Wednesday.

The 31-year-old had been on the injured list since July 6 with a hamstring strain, and also missed time with knee and groin injuries.
