ST. LOUIS -- Behind a 12-hit attack, the St. Louis Cardinals edged the Chicago Cubs, 3-2 in 10 innings Wednesday at Busch Stadium.

Yadier Molina came up big with a double in the 10th inning that drove in the winning run.

The Cubs led 1-0 after three innings and held that lead until the seventh when St. Louis tallied two runs to move ahead. Harrison Bader and Dylan Carlson had an RBI double each in the seventh for the lead.

Chicago tied in the ninth. Anthony Rizzo began the frame on second and took third on a single by Javier Baez. But on a forceout at second, Rizzo got caught and tagged out on a rundown. Eric Sogard's double scored Baez and the Cubs took the lead.

The Cardinals came back in the 10th. Paul Goldschmidt started at second as the automatic runner. Nolan Arenado drew a walk and Molina came up with his double for the win.

Harrison Bader continued his hot-hitting with two singles, a double and drove in a run. Dylan Carlson had double and an RBI.
