The Washington Nationals and San Diego Padres finished their game Sunday that had been stopped the night before after there was gunfire right outside Nationals Park just after the end of the top of the sixth inning.

The sound was so close that many fans and some players thought someone was shooting inside the stadium and ran to try to find cover.

The game was halted, and then picked up Sunday, with the Padres winning 10-4, before the teams played their scheduled game.
