Major League Baseball and the players’ association have extended Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer's paid leave through July 27, as league investigators and Pasadena, California, police continue to look into a woman’s allegations of sexual misconduct against him.

Bauer was initially put on seven days’ leave on July 2, and that was first extended through July 15. The woman claims Bauer assaulted her during two sexual encounters. Bauer’s agents have denied the accusations.
