Bulldogs Move Into Regional Championship Game

Effingham St. Anthony easily moved into the Regional A baseball championship game with a 15-0 win over Hutsonville/Palestine in four innings Friday.

The Bulldogs ripped out to a 13-0 lead in the first inning and tacked on two more in the fourth.

Seth Hotze went two innings, throwing a one-hitter with one walk and five strikeouts for the win. Eli Levitt came on to finish out the next two innings allowing no hits, two walks and three strikeouts.

Brody Niebrugge had a double, home run and three RBI while Will Hoene and Levitt had a single, double and an RBI each. Colton Fearday had a double and two RBI. Beau Adams had a double. Angelo Mendella and Eli Moore singled and had two RBI each. Connor Roepke and Eli Link had a single and an RBI each.

The lone hit was a single by Pryitt.

The Bulldogs will play for the regional championship today against North Clay (Louisville) at Evergreen Hollow Park at 4:30 p.m.
