Altamont Wins 1-0 Over BSE, S. Central Downs Red Hill

Altamont advances to a regional championship game at 3pm Monday against the South Central Cougars. South Central beat Red Hill 5-4 Saturday to move into the championship game.
Monday's game will be played at Lions Field in Kinmundy. We will have the game on KJ Country 102.3 and www.kjcountry.com.
Altamont scored the game's only run in the second inning when Mason Robinson hit a ground ball to the right side to bring home Tyler Robbins.
Brayden Stuemke got the win for Altamont, going 6-2/3 innings, allowing five hits and no walks while striking out six.
Dalton Myers got the tough luck loss for the Bombers, allowing just the one run, which was unearned, on three hits while walking five and fanning two.
Brownstown/St. Elmo closes its season with a 9-12 record.

South Central edged Red Hill (Bridgeport), 5-4 in Saturday action.
Red Hill took a 3-2 opening inning lead and led 4-2 until the sixth when the Cougars tallied three runs to move ahead and win.
South Central had eight hits led by Chase Thompson and Sebastian Cowger with two singles each. Cowger drove in a run. Spencer Johannes had a double and an RBI while Sam Rubin drove in a run with two singles. Beau Jolliff added a single and an RBI.
Aiden Dodson got the win on the mound, going the final two innings, allowing no runs on no hits, one walk while striking out four.
South Central will play host to Altamont at Lions Field in Kinmundy today, weather permitting, at 3 p.m.The game can be head on KJ Country 102.3 and www.kjcountry.com.
