BEECHER CITY -- Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City hosted Ramsey in the Class 1A Baseball Regional D Wednesday and claimed a 10-0 win in five innings.

CHBC edged out to a 2-0 first inning lead then tacked on a single run in the second, two in the third and finished out with five in the fourth.

Clayton Wojcik had the only extra base hit of the contest with a double. Quaid Schlanser had two singles and drove in a run. Wes Radloff had a single and an RBI.

Silas Buzzard threw a three-hitter with one walk and five strikeouts.

CHBC advances to Neoga Friday for a 4:30 p.m. contest.

In game two of Regional D, Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg played host to Arcola and was a 16-1 winner in four innings.

The Hatchets had a five-run first, an eight-run second and ended the game in the fourth with four runs.

WSS banged out 14 hits in the contest. Carter Chaney led the way with a single, triple and three RBI while Austin Wittenberg had a single, double and two RBI. Gavan Wernsing, Jordan Wittenberg and Graham Kasey had two singles and two RBI each while Sam Vonderheide had two singles. Rhett Rincker added a single and drove in two runs.

J. Wittenberg went four innings allowing one run on three hits, one walk while striking out five.

Windsor/Stew-Stras will now head to Cumberland Friday for an 11 a.m. contest.

At Brownstown

In regular season action Wednesday, Brownstown/St. Elmo claimed a 10-6 win over Odin/Patoka/Sandoval.

BSE took a 6-4 opening inning lead. Odin/Patoka/Sandoval pulled within 6-5 in the top of the third but BSE came back with two in the bottom of the frame and finished out with two in the fourth.

The Bombers had 10 hits in the contest led by Wyatt Forbes with two doubles and an RBI, Lukas Miller with a triple and an RBI, David Stine with a double and Kevn Hall with two singles and an RBI. Brady Maxey finished with a single and drove in two runs.

BSE improved to 9-11 and will be ready for regional action Saturday at Altamont at 10 a.m.

At Altamont

Altamont was a winner in a regular season contest. The host Indians tallied a 7-4 victory over Flora Wednesday.

Altamont had 12 hits in the contest. Kaden Eirhart and Tyler Robbins had a single, double and an RBI while Mason Robinson had three singles and two RBI.

Six pitchers threw for the Indians with Brayden Stuemke picking up the win after going two innings allowing one hit and striking out one.

Altamont heads into regional action Saturday and will play host to Brownstown/St. Elmo at 10 a.m.

South Central came back from a 4-3 deficit to score five runs in the fourth and go on for a 10-5 win over Woodlawn Wednesday.

The Cougars' Chase Dodson knocked out two home runs and finished with four RBI. Brandt Hiestand had two singles and an RBI. Chase Thompson had a single and drove in a run.

Beau Jolliff was the winning pitcher, going three innings, allowing five runs on four hits, four walks and two strikeouts.
