St. A's Logan Antrim Throws No-Hitter; Flora Beats T-town

Effingham St. Anthony High School's Logan Antrim threw a no-hitter as the Bulldogs blanked Neoga 11-0 in Monday baseball action.

Antrim went all six innings, giving up three walks and struck out six.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs scored three in the second and third, one in the fourth and ended the game with four in the sixth.

St. Anthony had 15 hits led by Eli Moore with a single, home run and an RBI, Kennan Walsh and Antrim with two singles and three RBI each, Eli Link a double and an RBI, Brody Niebrugge, Will Hoene and Angelo Mendella with two singles each. Mendella added an RBI.

The Bulldogs are 16-4 on the season and will be back in action today finishing out regular season by hosting Dieterich at 4:30 p.m.

At Flora

Flora had a four-run sixth inning and tallied a 5-3 win over Teutopolis Monday.

The Wooden Shoes held a 1-0 lead in the second and a 3-0 lead after three. The Wolves scored a run in the fourth before their big sixth-inning.

Both teams had five hits. T-town was led by Sam Bushur with a home run and two RBI and Andy Niebrugge with a solo homer.

T-town finishes regular season play with a 19-9 record. Flora improved to 13-10.
