Bulldogs, Shoes, Maroons Nab Baseball Victories

Neither team scored through the first three innings. The Bulldogs broke loose with a four-run fourth and finished out with two in the fifth.
Will Hoene added a double and an RBI while Brody Niebrugge and Eli Levitt had a single and an RBI each.
Colton Fearday pitched six innings, allowing no runs on four hits, two walks while striking out four. Eli Link came on to end the contest in the seventh and had one strikeout.
The Bulldogs improved to 15-4 on the season.
The Hatchets had four hits, all singles by Gavan Wernsing, Sam Vonderheide. Kasey Graham and Tyler Wetherell.
At Strasburg

At Teutopolis
Both teams struck early, but Teutopolis kept the momentum going in an 8-2 win over North Clay (Louisville) Wednesday.
The two squads were tied at 1-1 after the first inning. The Wooden Shoes then went on a three-run second inning and scored three more in the third and one in the fourth.
Derek Deters led the Shoes in hitting with a single, double and an RBI while Andy Niebrugge had a double and two RBI. Evan Wermert added a single and drove in a run.
North Clay was led by Brady Ingram with a double and an RBI and Collyn Ballard with two singles.
Cade Buehnerkemper picked up the win and improved to 2-1 on the mound. He went five innings, allowing two runs on five hits, three walks while striking out eight.
The Wooden Shoes improved to 17-8 on the season while North Clay fell to 14-6. T-town is back in action Saturday hosting Efifngham. North Clay returns to action today at Brownstown/St. Elmo.

Dieterich banged out 12 hits and tallied an 8-1 victory over Sullivan in Wednesday action.
The Movin' Maroons finished with five doubles in 12 total hits. Seth Bushur had two doubles and drove in two runs while Noah Dill had two singles, a double and an RBI, Pete Britton two singles and a double, Matthew Hunzinger a single, double and an RBI and J. Holste two singles and two RBI.
Dieterich led 3-0 in the second then had two-run innings in the third and fourth and finished out with one in the seventh.
Hunzinger went six innings for the win, allowing one run on three hits, two walks and nine strikeouts.
At Sullivan

Mahomet-Seymour tallied a 10-3 win over Effingham in Apollo Conference action.
M-S took a 3-0 second inning lead and had a four-run third. The Hearts scored two in the fourth as Joe Matteson hit the long ball for an RBI. He also had a single. The only other hits for the Hearts were singles by Quest Hull, who drove in a run, and Dylan Cunningham. Preston Latch had an RBI.
The Bulldogs had 12 hits that included two home runs and two doubles. Sampson had two singles, a home run and three RBI while Carr had a single, home run and three RBI.

Charleston took a 5-1 lead in two innings and held off Altamont for a 6-4 victory Wednesday.
The Trojans edged out to a 3-1 opening inning lead then had a two-run second and tallied one more in the sixth.
Altamont outhit Charleston by a 10-6 count but finished with three errors and allowed five walks.
The Indians were led in hitting by Jared Hammer with a single and double, Tyler Robbins with a solo homer, Kaden Eirhart with a double and an RBi and Brayden Stuemke with two singles.
