Ninth Member of Yankees Tests Positive

A ninth member of the New York Yankees organization who was vaccinated against Covid-19 has tested positive. Manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that it was a staff member.

The others who’ve tested positive are shortstop Gleyber Torres, the pitching coach, third base coach and first base coach, and four other members of the traveling staff.

All were vaccinated with the Johnson & Johnson shot. Seven of those infected were asymptomatic.
