South Central Blanks Carlyle, 13-0

CARYLE -- South Central blanked Carlyle, 13-0 in six innings of high school baseball competition Wednesday.

The two teams went scoreless through two innings before the Cougars broke lose with a six-run third. South Central led 7-0 until the sixth and tallied six more to end the game.

Spencer Johannes had quite the game for the Cougars. He finished with two singles, a double and an RBI and also picked up the pitching win on the mound, going three innings, allowing no runs on three hits, one walk and two strikeouts.

With a 15-hit attack, the Cougars also had hits by Chase Dodson with a single and a solo home run, Aiden Dodson with three singles and two RBI, Brandt Hiestand with two singles and Chase Thompson, Sebastian Cowger and Andrew Magnus finished with a single and drove in two runs each.

Hiestand came on to finish out the final three innings, allowing no runs on three hits, one walk and five strikeouts.
