CHBC, Neoga Pick Up Baseball Victories

BROWNSTOWN -- Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's Mason Manley threw a four-hitter against Brownstown/St. Elmo and the Bobcats claimed a 4-2 baseball victory Thursday.

Manley went all seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits, two walks while striking out two.

The Bobcats had only two hits but were aided by three BSE errors.

Clayton Wojcik had a single and drove in three runs while Manley also had a single. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City improved to 6-2.

BSE was led by Wyatt Forbes with two singles and an RBI. BSE drops to 4-5 on the season.

At Okaw Valley

Neoga broke a 4-4 tie with a one-run sixth and claimed a 5-4 win over Okaw Valley Thursday.

The Indians led 1-0 after the first inning but Okaw Valley tied in the second. Both teams scored three runs in the third inning.

Neoga had eight hits in the contest led by Adam Fearday with two singles, a double and two RBI. Kaden Young had a single and double while Nate Lacy added a double.

Bryar Hennesay was the winning pitcher, going 2.1 innings, allowing no runs on two hits, one walk and two strikeouts.
