Cleveland Indians first baseman Yu Chang Tuesday shared anti-Asian tweets he’d gotten after making an error in the ninth inning of their game the night before that allowed the Chicago White Sox to score the winning run.

Chang, who is Taiwanese, posted some of them on his account, one of which referred to the shape of his eyes and another to the coronavirus.

He wrote, “Exercise your freedom of speech in a right way, I accept all comments, positive or negative but definitely not racist ones,” and included the hashtag #StopAsianHate.
