The Braves and Dodgers both swept their Division Series 3 games to 0 against the Miami Marlins and San Diego Padres, respectively, and the Astros eliminated the Oakland A's 3 games to 1.

The New York Yankees came back strong with a 5-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 4 of the American League Division Series.

Luke Voit nailed a 453-foot blast in the second inning for his first postseason home run for the Yankees. Meanwhile Gleyber Torres launched a two-run blast in the sixth . The Yankees tallied 11 hits in the contest. DJ LeMahieu, Brett Gardner and Kyle Higashioka had two singles each. LeMahieu and Higashioka had an RBI each. Torres added a single to his home run.

Effingham High School graduate Chad Green picked up the pitching win in relief. Starter Jordan Montgomery went four innings allowing one run on three hits. Green came on in the fifth and went two innings not allowing a hit while striking out two.
