Neoga, North Clay Are Winners In Baseball

Neoga tallied a 5-1 victory over Woodlawn in non-conference high school baseball Monday.

Woodlawn took a 1-0 lead in the first inning but the Indians came back with two in the second and three more in the seventh.

Neoga had six hits led by Isaac Walk with two doubles and three RBI, Nate Lacy with a double and Luke Romack with two singles. Treyton Vaughn had an RBI.

Brady Reynolds was the winner on the mound, going three innings, allowing one run on two hits, two walks and a strikeout.

At Woodlawn

At Louisville

North Clay (Louisville) had the bats booming and players denting the plate in an 18-3 win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Monday.

The Cardinals stepped out to a 9-0 opening inning lead and never looked back, ending the game in the fourth inning.

North Clay had 12 hits, five of those doubles. Holden Clifton had a single, double and three RBI, Donnie Zimmerman, Bryton Griffy and Carson Burkett had a single, double and an RBI each while Dakota Weidner added a double and two RBI. Logan Fleener had two singles and two RBI while Brady Ingram had a single and three RBI.

Collyn Ballard was the winning pitcher, throwing a four-hitter, allowing two runs, no walks while striking out five in two innings.

CHBC was led by Ian Hammond with two singles and an RBI and Seth Doty with a double.

At Louisville
