Teutopolis Defeats Dieterich 9-3 Monday

The Teutopolis Wooden Shoes scored four runs in each of the first two innings on the way to a 9-3 high school baseball win at Dieterich Monday night.

Sam Bushur held Dieterich without a baserunner until the fifth inning. An error, a walk and consecutive hits led the Movin Maroons to their first two runs. After the Shoes scored in the sixth to make it 9-2, Dieterich scored in the bottom of the seventh to account for the final score.

Bushur and Cade Buehnerkemper held Dieterich to just three hits.

Dalton Will gave up the first eight Teutopolis runs, but Austin Ruholl pitched the final five innings, allowing just one unearned run.

At the plate, Matt Deters and Dylan Pruemer each had two hits and each drove in three runs for the Wooden Shoes. Evan Addis had two hits and drove in a run, and Kayden Althoff had two hits and scored twice. Mitch Althoff also had two hits, while Bushur, Evan Wermert, Derek Konkel, Jordan Hardiek and Logan Roepke each had a hit.

Dieterich's three hits were garnered by Noah Dill, Seth Bushur and Jack Westendorf.

Teutopolis improved to 13-6 on the fall, while Dieterich is now 5-12.
