Yankees' Lemaheiu Earn AL Batting Title
The New York Yankees’ DJ Lemaheiu earned the American League batting title as the shortened season ended Sunday, finishing with a .364 batting average.
His teammate, Luke Voit, led the AL and all of baseball with 22 home runs. They became the first teammates to lead in batting average and home runs since Hank Aaron nd Eddie Mathews on the 1959 Milwaukee Braves. LeMahieu also became the first player in the modern era to win the batting title in both leagues, after having won it in the NL with the Colorado Rockies in 2016.
