Cardinals Beat Braves

(Jupiter, FL)  --  A broken-bat double by Matt Adams in the bottom of the eighth inning lifted the Cardinals to a 5-4 win over the Braves.  Matt Carpenter had two hits and two RBI for St. Louis, which is 9-and-8 on the spring.  Starter Joe Kelly allowed one run in four innings, while Shelby Miller gave up three runs in two-and-two-thirds.  The Cardinals host the Nationals today.

Cubs Crush Dodgers

(Glendale, AZ)  --  Welington Castillo tripled in two runs in the first inning and the Cubs went on to down the Dodgers 8-1 in Glendale.  Chris Rusin hurled five innings of one-hit ball for the win as Chicago improved to 8-and-11 on the spring.  Darnell McDonald went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Cubs.  The Cubs take on the White Sox this afternoon at Camelback Ranch.

Sox Slashed By Halos

(Tempe, AZ)  --  Dewayne Wise lifted a solo home run as the White Sox lost 12-4 to the Angels in Tempe yesterday.  Starer John Danks gave up seven hits and six runs in three-and-a-third frames to take the loss.  The Sox host a split squad Cubs team today.
