The Washington Nationals aided the Chicago Cubs by sweeping the Philadelphia Phillies in a doubleheader.
The Cubs missed out in 2019 and that's when David Ross took over as manager.

Dylan Carlson had a three-hit game as the St. Louis Cardinals blanked Kansas City 5-0 at Kauffman Stadium Tuesday.
Carlson fell just short of hitting for the cycle with a single, double and triple. He drove in two runs. Kolten Wong had two singles and an RBI while Paul Goldschmidt and Andrew Miller had a double each.
