The Altamont Indians scored two runs to tie the game in the sixth and four more runs in the seventh to win a National Trail Conference baseball game Friday over the Dieterich Movin Maroons, 6-2. The game at Dieterich was heard on 979XFM and www.979xfm.com

Dieterich broke on top with two runs in the first inning. Leadoff hitter Dalton Will was hit by a pitch and Austin Ruholl singled to get things started. Pete Britton reached on a fielder's choice without an out being recorded and Garrett Niebrugge drew a walk to force in Will for the first run. After a strikeout, Seth Bushur singled home Ruholl to make it 2-0.

That's where things stood until the sixth, when Altamont tied things up.

With one out, Kaden Eirhart walked and Braden Baucum doubled. After a strikeout, Wyatt Phillips singled up the middle to tie the game, plating both Eirhart and Baucum.

In the seventh, Jared Hammer delivered a leadoff double and Zeke Rippetoe was hit by a pitch. Logan Cornett was then hit by a pitch to load the bases with no one out. That's when Brayden Stuemke came through with a bases-clearing triple to left center to give Altamont their first lead of the game. Stuemke later scored to give the Indians a four-run lead.

Dieterich didn't quit, getting two runners aboard with one out in the bottom of the seventh before Altamont sophomore Mason Robinson induced a fly ball out and then a strikeout to end the game.

Robinson came in to pitch after starter Tyler Robbins allowed a leadoff double in the second and shut down Dieterich the rest of the way. He went six innings, allowing no runs on three hits and two walks while striking out eight.

Another sophomore, Pete Britton for Dieterich, started and pitched into the seventh, allowing five runs on four hits and three walks while fanning six. Dalton Will relieved Britton and gave up the triple to Stuemke and was charged with the run when Stuemke scored.

Robbins pitched the first inning for Altamont and to one batter in the second, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk and hitting a batter while striking out two.
