Cubs Finally Beat Cardinals, 5-1

CHICAGO -- Kyle Hendricks came through for the Chicago Cubs as they picked up a 5-1 win over St. Louis at Wrigley Field Monday.
Hendricks went eight innings to improve to 5-4 on the season. He allowed seven hits, didn't give up a walk and struck out four.
It was a much-needed victory as the Cardinals picked up three wins over the Cubs in the series, a doubleheader sweep on Saturday.
Meanwhile the Cubs outhit the Cardinals10-7 including doubles by Ian Happ and Cameron Maybin along with three singles by Javier Baez and two by Kris Bryant.
The Cardinals were led by Harrison Bader with a double. The rest were singles, two by Kolten Wong and Paul Goldschmidt.
