Junior High Baseball Results -- Sept. 1

Dieterich Junior High School held off Effingham St. Anthony to nab a baseball victory, 14-10 Tuesday.

Dieterich held a 2-1 second inning lead and led 4-2 in the fourth. Dieterich pushed that to 14-5 going into the bottom of the seventh. The Bullpups mounted a comeback, scoring five runs only to fall short.

Both teams had seven hits. Dieterich was led by L. Jansen with a double, triple and an RBI, B. Niemerg with a double and three RBI and E. Meinhart with two RBI.

Leading St. Anthony were A. Walton with three singles, C. Wines with a double and two RBI and A. Faber with three RBI.
