The Mustangs downed Taylorville, 12-5 behind a 12-hit attack. Taylorville edged out to a 2-1 lead before the Mustangs broke the game open with a seven-run fourth.
Bushur led the way for the Mustangs with two singles, a triple and two RBI. Koeberlein added two singles and three RBI while Pals had two singles.
C. Webb was the winning pitcher allowing six hits and three runs over 4.2 innings. He did not walk a batter and had five strikeouts.
Effingham fell to Williamsville, 8-2. Williamsville jumped on the Mustangs in the first inning, scoring five runs. The squad banged out 11 hits and Effingham finished with five errors.
The Mustnags had eight hits led by Bushur with two singles and a double while Hayes had a double.

Stewardson-Strasburg played host to Effingham Sacred Heart and nabbed a 5-1 decision Friday.
The Shamrocks held a 1-0 lead until the fifth inning when Stew-Stras moved ahead 2-1 then had a three-run sixth.
C. Verdeyen had a double for the winners while Gurgel and B. Verdeyen had two singles each. Bridges had a single and drove in two runs while Friese had a single and two RBI.
Sacred Heart was led by Sparks, Borries and Traub with a single each. Wallace had the lone RBI.
