Former Cubs' Addison Russell To Play in South Korea

Former Chicago Cubs' Addison Russell will be playing in South Korea.

Russell, who played shortstop, will be competing for the Kiwoom Heroes of the KBO. Russell became a free agent in December. He was suspended for 40 games in 2018 and finished out his supension in 2019, sitting out the first 28 games. He was sent to the minor leagues last summer. 

Russell was on the Cubs' World Series team in 2016 and also was named to the National League All-Star team at shortstop. He was the hero in Game 6 when he banged out a grand slam giving the Cubs the victory.
