South Korea’s baseball season began Tuesday, delayed by the pandemic, with some of the Korea Baseball Organization games being aired by ESPN2. There were no fans in the stands, and umpires and first- and third-base coaches were required to wear masks.

Players aren’t allowed to high-five teammates, and chewing tobacco is banned to prevent spitting. If any member of a team tests positive for the coronavirus during the season, the league will shut down for at least three weeks.
