A New York Yankees minor league player has tested positive for the coronavirus, the first known case in baseball, according to ESPN. The unidentified player was only on the minor league side of the Yankees’ Tampa facility, and there was no known link from him to anyone on the major league team.

The minor league complex has been shut down through March 25. MLB last week suspended spring training and delayed opening day by at least two weeks from the planned March 26th start date.
