Arizona's Baumgarner Competing in Rodeos Non-Issue

Arizona Diamondbacks GM Mike Hazen said Monday he hadn't known Madison Baumgarner was competing in rodeos under an alias, which ‘The Athletic’ reported Sunday.

He wouldn't comment on what the team will allow the pitcher to do in his off-time, or what his contract says, but said it wouldn't have affected the decision to sign him in December. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo called it “a non-issue.”
