Retired Boston Red Sox star David Oritz called pitcher Mike Fiers a “snitch” Thursday for revealing the Houston Astros’ illegal sign-stealing during their World Series-winning 2017 season only after he'd left the team.

He told reporters at the Red Sox spring training complex: “Oh, after you make your money, after you get your ring, you decide to talk about it? Why didn’t you talk about it during the season when it was going on? Why didn’t you say, ‘I don’t want to be part of it?’” He added, “So you’re looking like a snitch.”
