New York Yankees starting pitcher James Paxton will be out until May or June after undergoing back surgery on Wednesday.

Paxton’s injury is the second for the Yankees, who start spring training next week, with center fielder Aaron Hicks not expected back until June or July after having Tommy John surgery on his elbow in October.
