Houston Astros owner Jim Crane announced Wednesday that they'd hired Dusty Bake as the team's new manager in a one-year deal. The 70-year-old Baker, who becomes the oldest manager in Major League Baseball, has 22 years of experience, winning National League Manager of the Year three times.
He last managed the Washington Nationals in 2017. He'll take over from AJ HINCH, who was fired earlier this month after being suspended for the season by MLB for his role in Houston’s sign-stealing scandal.
