Phillies, Yankees Agree With Players On Deals

The Philadelphia Phillies and former New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius have agreed on a one-year, $14 million deal. Gregorius came back from Tommy John surgery in early June and hit .238 with 16 homers and 61 RBIs in 82 games.
The New York Yankees and pitcher Gerrit Cole have agreed to a nine-year, $324 million contract. The deal breaks the record set earlier this week when Stephen Strasburg and the Washington Nationals agreed to seven-year, $245 million deal.
Giants Acquire Zack Cozart
The San Francisco Giants acquired third baseman Zack Cozart and 2019 first-round draft pick Will Wilson from the Los Angeles Angels yesterday. In exchange, the Giants will send the Angels cash or a player to be named later.
