You can go home again.

Joe Maddon proved it, as he was named the manager of the Los Angeles Angels Wednesday. Maddon was given a three-year deal.

It's sort of a re-enactment of 2015, when the Chicago Cubs fired Rick Renteria after one season when Maddon became available. It was the same scenario for Brad Ausmus, who was let go by the Angels after one season when the Cubs and Maddon parted company.

Maddon spent the vast majority of his career in the Angels organization. He left when he was hired to manage the Tampa Bay Rays and led them to an American League pennant, then went to the Cubs where he was skipper when the team won the World Series in 2016, the Cubs' first World Championship in 108 years.
