Altamont Lutheran finished second at the Class S State Baseball Tournament.

The Altamont Lutheran Interparish Rockets baseball team lost the championship game of the Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association Class S State Tournament 7-6 Thursday afternoon in Coulterville. With the win, Holy Childhood of Mascoutah is the state champion, while ALIS finishes second in the state.

It's the third time the Rockets have finished second in the state in school history.
