Altamont Lutheran blanked Cisne in opening round play of the SIJHSAA Class S State Baseball Tournament Saturday, 6-0.

Lutheran opened with a 3-0 victory in the first inning then tacked on a single run in the fifth and two in the sixth.

Altamont Lutheran had seven hits led by D. Elam with three singles and three RBI, N. Stuemke with two singles and E. Miller with a dobule.

Stuemke picked up the pitching win, going six innings, allowing three hits, three walks and striking out six.

Altamont Lutheran now meets Crab Orchard, a 16-1 winner over Meridian, Tuesday at 1 p.m.
