ODIN -- Effingham St. Anthony edged out to a 2-1 opening inning lead on Odin/Patoka and claimed an 18-3 win in high school baseball action Monday.

The Bulldogs banged out 15 hits in the contest led by Kaden Fearday with a single, triple and two RBI, Davis Tingley with a single, double and an RBI, Kennan Walsh with a single, double and two RBI, Aaron Webb with two singles and Luke Rudolphi and Eli Moore with a double each. Logan Antrim had three RBI.

Fearday went five innings for the win on the mound. He allowed two runs on two hits, two walks and struck out seven.

Derek Kuhl went six innings and did not allow a hit as Dieterich blanked Ramsey 9-0 in action Monday.

Kuhl didn't allow a walk and struck out 10. S. Bushur came on in the seventh to finish strong allowing one walk and striking out three.

The Maroons had 12 hits led by Matthew Hunzinger with a single, home run and three RBI while Pete Britton added two singles, a double and two RBI, Dalton Will two singles and two RBI and Austin Ruholl two singles.

At Bluford

The score was tied at 2-2 before St. Elmo/Brownstown moved ahead 5-4 in the fifth then had a four-run sixth and a five-run seventh for a 14-4 victory over Webber Township (Bluford) Monday.

It was extra base time as Caleb Atwood and Wyatt Chandler had a single and knocked out two home runs each. Atwood finished with six RBI while Chandler had two RBI. Bryton Pruett chipped in with two singles, a double and four RBI while Brady Maxey had a single and double.

SEB improved to 10-7 on the season and returns to action hosting Effingham St. Anthony at 4:30 p.m. today.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City edged out to a 4-3 opening inning lead then tallied two in the fourth and three in the fifth for the 9-3 victory over Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran Monday.

CHBC was led in hitting by Doty with a double and an RBI, Schlanser with a triple and Manley with two singles and four RBI.

Buzzard was the winning pitcher, going four innings, allowing three runs on four hits, two walks and seven strikeouts. Robertson came on to throw the final three innings, allowing two hits, one walk and striking out four.
