St. Anthony, T-town Pick Up Baseball Wins

Effingham St. Anthony tallied a 12-3 high school victory over Woodlawn in action Wednesday.
The Bulldogs brought out the big bats with 15 hits. Aaron Webb led the way with two doubles and two RBI while Kaden Fearday had three singles and an RBI. Davis Tingley contributed two singles and two RBI and Logan Antrim had a single and double.
Webb started the game on the mound, going three innings, allowing three runs on five hits, no walks and striking out three. He picked up the pitching win.
St. Anthony trailed Woodlawn 3-1 after three innings but got on track with an eight-run fourth and tallied three more in the sixth.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis ended this contest in the fifth inning via the 10-run rule Wednesday, 10-0 over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg.
The Wooden Shoes tallied six runs in the second inning then finished off with four runs in the fifth.
Five of the 10 hits for the Shoes were doubles. Justin Hardiek had a single, double and drove in four runs to lead the Shoes. Trenton Schwerdt, Mitch Hemmen, Matt Deters and Evan Addis had a double each. Schwerdt and Addis had two RBI while Deters had one.
Addis was the winning pitcher, going all five innings, allowing four hits, no walks and striking out five.
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg had four hits led by Gavan Wernsing with a double.
