The St. Louis Cardinals clinched a playoff spot by beating the Chicago Cubs 3-2 Sunday. It was the Cardinals first four-game sweep at Wrigley Field in over 98 years.

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant left Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals in the bottom of the third inning with an apparent ankle injury. Bryant was unable to put any weight on his right foot as he was helped to the clubhouse. If Bryant can’t return for the final seven games of the season, it could be the final blow to the Cubs’ fading playoff hopes.

Astros Clinch Third Straight AL West Title

The Houston Astros beat the Los Angeles Angels 13-5 Sunday to clinch their third straight AL West title. George Springer hit a career-high three home runs in the game and Justin Verlander recorded his 20th win of the season.
