The Minnesota Twins established another major league home run record last night by becoming the first team in history to have five players homer 30 or more times in one season. Miguel Sanó gave the Twins the all-time mark with his three-run shot against the Chicago White Sox.


Yastrzemski Grandson Hits Home Run

Mike Yastrzemski, the grandson of Red Sox legend CarlYastrzemski, hit a home run in his first major league game at Boston's Fenway Park last night. Unfortunately, he did so as a member of the visiting San Francisco Giants, who won the game 7-6 in 15 innings.


Blue Jay's Biggio Hits For Cycle

Toronto Blue Jays rookie Cavan Biggio hit for the cycle in their win over the Baltimore Orioles last night. Biggio and his father, Craig, now become the second father-son duo in major league history to hit for the cycle, joining Daryle and Gary Ward.


Phillies' Dickerson Done For Season

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Corey Dickerson is done for the season with a fractured foot. Dickerson fouled a ball off the foot on September 4 and hasn’t played since last week, although the original MRI came back negative.


Pirates' Vazquez Arrested

Pittsburgh Pirates reliever Felipe Vazquez has been arrested for allegedly committing various sex crimes against an underage girl. Authorities say Vazquez had communicated with the 15-year-old girl for at least two years via text messages before meeting in person. Vazquez was denied bail and prosecutors say more charges will be filed.
