The record for most home runs in a Major League Baseball season was broken Wednesday night. Baltimore Orioles shortstop Jonathan Villar's three-run shot against the Los Angeles Dodgers was the 6,106th of the season. With more than two weeks left in the regular season, the new total will obliterate the previous mark set in 2017.
