WINDSOR -- South Central took the early lead and went on for a 4-1 National Trail Conference win over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg Tuesday.
The Cougars edged out to a 1-0 opening inning lead then had a three-run third. The Hatchets tallied their lone run in the fourth.
South Central had seven hits led by C. Dodson and H. Brandt with two singles each. Brandt added two RBI.
WSS was led by J. Wittenberg with a dobule.
J. Grzegorek went the whole seven innings on the mound, giving up one run on four hits, two walks and striking out nine.
South Central is now 5-0 in the NTC, 8-0 overall.

Dieterich came into town and picked up a National Trail Conference victory over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Tuesday.
The Movin' Maroons finished with seven hits and were aided by five CHBC errors. Will had two singles and drove in two runs for the winners while C. Niebrugge had a double and two RBI and Hall a double and an RBI.
CHBC was led by J. Robertson and A. Weber with a double each. Robertson had an RBI.
Niebrugge took the win on the mound, going five innings, allowing two hits, two walks and striking out seven.

North Clay (Louisville) took a 1-0 opening inning lead and went on to blank St. Elmo/Brownstown 6-0 in action Tuesday.
The Cardinals' L. Fleener and C. Burkett combined to throw a three-hitter. Fleener went five innings allowing one hit, no walks and striking out six for the win. Burkett went the final two innings, allowing two hits, no walks and one strikeout.
Clifton had a single, double and an RBI while Ballard added a triple and two RBI and Jones two singles.
SEB was led by Maxey with two singles.
