Dieterich Downs Ramsey In Baseball, CHBC Nabs JV Contest

RAMSEY -- Dieterich High School handed Ramsey a 4-1 loss in baseball action Monday.

The Movin' Maroons tallied a run in the second inning then pushed that to 2-0 in the third and finished out with two in the fifth.

Dieterich had 10 hits led by M. Hunzinger with a home run and two RBI and D. Kuhl with a single, double and an RBI. A. Ruholl, C. Niebrugge and P. Britton had two singles each.

D. Will picked up the pitching win going six innings, allowing no runs on four hits, three walks and eight strikeouts.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City nabbed a junior varsity victory over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg Monday, 9-7.

CHBC took a 1-0 second inning lead. Windsor/Stew-Stras tied in the fourth but CHBC scored eight more in the fifth. WSS came back with six in the sixth but couldn't make up those final two runs.

Richards led CHBC with two singles and an RBI while Davis had a single and two RBI. Weber had a double.
