The Minnesota Twins broke a major league record for most home runs on the road Thursday against the Chicago White Sox. The Twins clubbed back-to-back homers in the third inning to bring their season road total to 140. It broke the record of 138 set by the San Francisco Giants in 2001.

Reds' Aquino Hits 14th HR of Month

The Cincinnati Reds’ Aristides Aquino hit his 14th home run for the month of August last night to break the National League rookie mark for homers in a month. However, the major league record of 18 by the Detroit Tigers’ Rudy York in August 1937 would seem to be safe with only two days to play.
