Indians' Ramirez Undergoes Surgery

The Cleveland Indians have placed third baseman Jose Ramirez on the 10-day injured list with a broken right hand. However, Ramirez will likely be out much longer as he’s scheduled to undergo surgery today.

Patterson Retires First Eight Batters

Oakland Athletics speed pitch booth rookie Nathan Patterson pitched two-and-two-thirds scoreless innings for the A's in the Arizona League last night. Patterson retired the first eight batters he faced before giving up a two-out single in the third inning.

River Ridge Wins Little League W.S.

River Ridge, Louisiana won the Little League World Series title Sunday by beating Curacao 8-0. With Louisiana's victory, U.S. teams have won back-to-back Little League titles for the first time since 2009.
